Golf Instructor
Graeme Trew is head of
golf instruction at the Burleigh West Golf Range.
Graeme moved from the Gold Coast to Brisbane to complete
a 3-year apprenticeship at the Indooroopilly Golf Club
serving 3 years under Rob Gibson.
In 1988 Graeme played the Queensland sunshine circuit
(troppo tour). Mid 1988 Graeme played 11 events on the
Canadian tour.
He came back to play the Australasian tour over the
summer.
In 1989 he went back over to Canada to play 12 events,
then back to Australia again.
In 1990 he had an accident, which ended his playing
career.
In 1991 he caddied for Peter Lonard on the European
tour.
In 1992 he moved to Melbourne to start his teaching
career at Golf Park driving range, where he taught along
side Peter Croker and Brian Ferguson, both of whom are
highly accredited golf instructors in their own right.
In 1994 Graeme moved back to the Gold Coast and started
teaching at the Burleigh West Driving Range, where he
was the head of instruction until 2000 when he uprooted
his family and headed back to Golf Park driving range
again to further enhance his teaching and Clubfitting
skills. There he lasted 2 years before he took on the
role as director of golf at the Craigieburn Golf Club
for 5 years.
In March 2007 Graeme moved back to the Burleigh West
Driving Range and has been there ever since.
Graeme's philosophy is quite simple, get the basics
right and the job is 70 percent done.
The rest is having the correct swing concepts, which
Graeme will explain simply using his v-one computerized
golf instruction program. And you will enjoy your golf
for many years to come.
